If you’re like me, you’ve dreamt of finding jobs abroad, experiencing another country’s work life, and fully immersing yourself into a new culture. Luckily, it’s easier than you might think to find international jobs for Americans! These are the 6 best international job sites!
These sites will make it easy to find your dream jobs abroad! Before you start your search, it’s important to know what kind of lifestyle you want while you’re abroad. Think about whether you want a
- Salaried, long term position at a company and a single country as your “homebase”
- Series of nomadic, short term positions and constantly moving through multiple countries
- Part-time or freelance work for a small business, so you’re based in 1 country with more flexibility to move around
Of course, these aren’t the only options, but they’re a good starting point. It’s important to figure out what kind of life and work you want abroad before you start looking.
Otherwise, you’ll probably get overwhelmed with all the amazing options on these international job sites!
It’s okay if you don’t have a specific country in mind when you start your search, but it can be good to narrow it down to a continent! It’s even more important to keep an open mind! You never know where your journey might take you!!
It’s also essential to know how you want to get paid! In a lot of countries, work isn’t strictly done in exchange for money.
Sometimes- esp if you want to backpack through several countries- you can do part time work in exchange for housing and food. This can be a great way to live cheaply, if it’s something you’d enjoy!
Not your vibe? Totally fine! This list has international job sites for every kind of work, so you’ll definitely find one that fits exactly what YOU want!
